Why does the app need my location?

Prayer times are calculated based on your geographic position. The app uses your location to determine sunrise, sunset, and prayer times for your specific location. Your location data stays on your device and is never shared.

Why are my prayer times different from my local mosque?

Mosques may use different calculation methods or make manual adjustments. You can change the calculation method in Settings to match your preferred approach (Umm Al-Qura, Muslim World League, Egyptian, etc.).

How do I enable prayer notifications?

When you first open the app, it will ask for notification permission. If you denied it, go to Settings → Adan NZ → Notifications and enable them.

The Qibla direction seems wrong?

Make sure you're holding your phone flat and away from magnetic interference (metal objects, electronics). You may need to calibrate your compass by moving your phone in a figure-8 pattern.

What calculation methods are supported?

Umm Al-Qura (Saudi Arabia), Muslim World League, Egyptian General Authority, University of Islamic Sciences Karachi, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Singapore, Tehran, Turkey, and ISNA (North America).
